Amr has started production of his latest animation short film “Flotations of the Pound”, illustrated by Sara Ragaiy. Expected release date: Fall 2026.
Synopsis: As Egypt’s Gamal Abdel Nasser’s centralized nationalist system of the 1950’s and 1960’s is suddenly being replaced by Anwar Sadat’s “Open Door” economic reforms in the late 1970’s, an ordinary Egyptian struggles to adapt to the contradictory transformations of national and individual identity, and a rapidly changing world.
